S&S Wholesale was founded on May 17th, 1999 (celebrating over 25 years in business!)  The owners, Daryl Dennis Samples and Linda Jean Samples, or as most know them by "Pop and Nana Samples" initially saw that the sock mill market was booming in their area, so they took advantage of it and started the Samples' Hosiery Mill -- in the front yard.  Soon after, the hosier industry moved overseas.  Then as every good entrepreneur would, they moved on, this time to a plant nursery.  Linda has always had a green thumb so she ran this business from their back yard.  A few years later, Nana and Pop began to notice the need for a plumbing and electrical store in their town, they sought some help, saved up some money, and moved their nursery to their new business venture.  Their idea of a "little Lowes" soon sprouted into the business they have today "S&S Wholesale Supply."  The store has also seen 4 expansions and hopefully working on more in the future!
